Meet Salem, or Sayla as she is affectionately called! This sweet girl is sure to melt your heart with her happy and loving nature! Little Sayla loves to giggle and is developing a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoys throwing toys for others to pick up and bring back to her, it is her favorite interactive game! Animals make her giggle as well, and she loves to pet dogs when they sit next to her. Sayla participates in equine therapy and thrives on the interactions she has with these gentle giants. Sayla has a blast in water and especially enjoys bath time! She loves books, music, and looking at herself in the mirror! Sayla does well on car rides and enjoys going for walks in her stroller so she can feel the breeze on her face. Sayla loves being rocked but prefers facing outward to see what’s going on all around her! She loves watching other children and animals play! Sayla has limited mobility, but if she is laying on her back on the ground and there are other children around, Sayla will scoot her body over to the children to be next to them!
Sayla has medical and developmental needs which require additional supports and a higher level of care. The ideal family will have experience caring for children with higher needs or will have the ability to provide additional supports as she grows. She will benefit from a family that is able to take her to her medical appointments and will advocate for her service needs throughout her life.
